Bio
Mast Gully Fellers
Australiana Bar-Room Folk.
Mast Gully Fellers are renowned for their unique, but familiar ‘Australiana Bar-Room Folk’ sound which meanders through alt-country, celtic, and folk, telling stories of heartfelt ballads, bush life, country pubs, and traveling adventures.
Their high-energy shows are filled with distinctly Australian yarns, and genre-crossing original music that draws the audience in with humour, melody, and foot-stomping fun. The band have featured at events such as National Celtic Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Newstead Live, Mordi Fest, Fleurieu Folk Festival, and Maldon Folk Festival.
Their 2023 album, 'The Great Divide', featured cameo appearances from Sarah Carroll, Kerryn Tolhurst, and Bruce Haymes, who complimented an already full and eclectic sound coming from the bands core lineup of fiddle, banjo, double bass, mandolin, acoustic guitar, percussion, harmonica, a little ukulele, and the four-part harmonies the band is known for.
The ten tracks cross genres effortlessly, but still very much feel like they belong on the same album.
‘The Great Divide’ won album of the year on 3MDR 97.1, was featured as a highlight of 2024 on 3RRR with Neil Rogers on ‘The Australian Mood’, and has been played consistently on radio and digital across Australia since its release in October 2023.
